With so many sun and surf-filled activities to be had, this 27th state of the Union is a must-see for everyone. Anastasia State Park – St. Augustine

Photographers — both amateur and professional, will delight in all that there is to see in this lovely area. Over 1600 acres of natural beauty at its finest provide ample opportunity to explore and see the local wildlife. With numerous hiking trails and miles of beach to wander along, it won’t be difficult to create some memorable photos. Kayaking and canoeing are also a favorite way to get up close and personal to the shorebirds. Equipment rental is available right in the park.

Easy parking in the ample pull-through sites makes this a favorite spot for those with big rigs. The individual sites are level with most of them having adequate shade. The hookups include power (both 30 and 50 amp), water and wi-fi. There is a sewer dump station at the park entrance. The restroom and shower building is spotless as is the laundry facility. There is a camp store stocked with most everything you may have left behind. Kids have a playground available but pets must be kept leashed.

Blackwater River State Park – Milton

With over 600 acres of natural beauty to explore, Blackwater River State Park is a perfect place to relax and unwind. There are also numerous activities and events to entertain you and the family, most of which center around the river. Canoeing, kayaking, tubing and swimming are favorites along with fishing the surrounding areas. For the landlubbers, abundant walking and bicycling trails provide hours of easy exercise and sightseeing. Plan on several days to explore the park and venture further out to the town of Milton and nearby Pensacola. Don’t miss the weekly Blue Angels Air Show at the Navy base.

With care, big rigs can access and maneuver in the RV campground. There are no pull-through sites available so it helps to plan your parking ahead of time. Full hook-ups are offered with both 30 and 50 amp power posts on site. Sewer and water are included. There are no laundry facilities on site but there are some close by in the town of Milton. The restrooms are nice and clean with spacious shower stalls. Kids and pets are welcome with the kids having their own playground.

Creekside RV Resort – Punta Gorda

It is easy to get a firsthand view of various animals and birds when you check out the nearby wildlife preserve. You can book tours or wander on your own as you explore the local hotspots. Babcock Ranch is just about 30 minutes from the resort. Drive into Punta Gorda itself for shopping, fine dining and further exploration. Plenty of beaches, golfing and museums will keep you entertained for a long or short stay. Reservations are required and should be made as early as possible for this popular resort.

With most of the sites being 80’ long and 40’ wide, you will be hard-pressed to find a rig that won’t fit comfortably at the Creekside RV Resort. The asphalt roads of the park lead to the large paved sites that all have full hookups that include water, sewer, power (30 or 50 amp), and wi-fi. Three different comfort stations and the clubhouse all boast spacious restroom and private showers along with 24-hour laundry facilities. There are rec room and pool areas to relax in while you’re washing your clothes.

Crystal Lake RV Resort – Naples

This beautiful, privately owned RV resort is just outside of Naples, Florida. The quiet and relaxing atmosphere follows you throughout the park. With a more laidback vibe, this park is more of an adult or 55+ type park although children aren’t excluded. Pets are welcome and have several areas where they can be exercised. Beautiful views of Crystal Lake can be seen from most spots in the park. Miles of sandy beach are just minutes away from your site. Two pools and three spas welcome you back after a long afternoon of wandering the area.

Paved sites are back-in only but are plenty large enough for most rigs to maneuver easily. Full hookups include power (30 & 50 amp), water, sewer and wi-fi. The clubhouses are well maintained with nice restroom and shower facilities as well as a spacious laundry. There are plenty of activities planned and social interaction is high between the long-term residents and vacationers.

Fort De Soto Campground – Tierra Verde

Weather in the St. Petersburg area is wonderful almost all year long. There really isn’t a bad time to visit this part of the state. Lots of outdoor activities that include swimming, kayaking, fishing and boating. Hikers, runners and cyclists will also enjoy the miles of beaches and trails that are easily accessible from the park. Don’t miss out on exploring nearby museums and the local nightlife. An adjacent dog beach keeps your four-legged friends happy and exercised as well.

Reservations are strongly advised as this popular park fills up regularly. Pull-through sites offer easy entry and exit and will accommodate big rigs with towed vehicles. Most sites have 30 or 50 amp power and water hookups available but there are no sewer connections. There is a septic dump station at the entrance to the park. A camp store offers lots of supplies as well as propane. A spotless bathroom and shower building also houses a full laundry facility. A rec room, playground and pet area keep your party members busy and happy.

Ocala Sun RV Resort – Ocala

It would be hard to be bored in the Ocala area that is centrally located between Gainesville and Orlando. The nearby Ocala National Forest has over 300,000 acres and offers visitors chances to boat, fish, hike and swim. Golfers will delight in the number of courses just minutes away from the resort. Visit the botanical gardens and the zoo at nearby Silver Springs Park and don’t miss a chance to take a ride in one of the glass-bottomed boats. Shopping and world-class eateries are all within a few minutes drive.

The largest of RVs are easily housed in extra-large spaces with 50-amp power hookups that also include water and sewer. Free wi-fi, cable and internet are offered to each site. A recently remodeled clubhouse offers brand new restrooms with private showers. A kitchen and community room are also available to guests along with laundry facilities. One of the favorite amenities for those with furry family members is the excellent fenced dog park that will delight your pups.

Ocean Breeze Resort – Jensen Beach

You can take a leisurely stroll out the back gates of the resort and end up in the charming downtown area of Jensen Beach. With plenty of shopping and great dining, there is plenty to do. The actual beach area is a bit farther away (5 minutes) but is well worth the short drive. You’ll spend hours walking in the sand and enjoying the fresh air and sunshine. The town (and the resort) has plenty of themed activities and events as well as regular weekly fun such as the crab races at Conchy Joe’s. It’s a must see!

Each of the lovely sites at Ocean Breeze is paved and offers either pull-through or back-in access. Big-rig friendly supersites include picnic benches and BBQ grills at each location. They offer full hookups that include power (20/30/50 amp), water and sewer. They welcome reservations from 1 day to over a month for long-term stays. You must make your reservations early as this resort is always busy. Immaculate grounds with a small dog park available for Fido or Fifi. Lots of activities and amenities such as a fitness room and clubhouse make this a great place to stay.

Pecan Park RV Resort – Jacksonville

With easy access off of Interstate 95, this park is a favorite for returning RVers. Only minutes out of Jacksonville, there is plenty to do and see in the area. Directly across the street is the weekend farmer’s market as well as an alligator farm. Budweiser Brewery has regular tours at their nearby facility. Plenty of museums and gorgeous beaches offer something for everyone in your party. The southern part of the state is well-represented with this lovely Florida RV camping spot.

The Pecan Park RV Resort offers both short and long-term reservations. Their fully paved roads with concrete pads have pull-through entry and allow a maximum length of 65’ for your rig and toad. Full hook-ups at each site include 20/30/50 amp power, water and sewer along with wi-fi and cable TV. There is a nice, clean restroom and shower building along with modern laundry facilities. Pets and kids are welcome. Planned activities for campers of all ages are on the schedule year-round.

Riverbend Motorcoach Resort – La Belle

The word “resort” in the title of this exclusive Class A motorcoach campground is appropriate. It is a luxurious oasis in the countryside that is just minutes from all of the excitement and necessities of town. Stroll along the paths and numerous footbridges. Enjoy pickleball or other planned entertainment at one of the three clubhouses. Swimming pools and hot tubs beckon while the nightlife picks up with music and drinks at the resident bar. Take a boat ride from the adjacent piers and boat ramps with one of the friendly long-term resort residents. You’ll make friends in a hurry at Riverbend.

Wide, paved roads lead to the large, level pads of either concrete or pavers. While the sites are back-in entry, they are large enough to accommodate bigger rigs. Full hookups at each site include power, water, sewer and wi-fi. The connections are conveniently located at the middle of each site. Kids and pets are welcome and have activities planned just for them as well as the adults in your party. Nice restroom and shower facilities along with a laundry room.

Tallahassee RV Park – Tallahassee

With super easy access off of Interstate 10, this quiet RV park is located just outside of Florida’s capital city of Tallahassee. Situated in the gently rolling hills, the park’s atmosphere is that of the quiet countryside even though it is just minutes from town. This park is exceptionally clean and is a great base for your wanderings to local spots. The Florida State and Florida A&M University campuses are just minutes from the park as is the state capital building. Enjoy nights around the campfire or head to town for excellent food and drink at some of the best local eateries.

Long, pull-through sites are available with fully shaded areas or those that are completely open. Full hookups include 30 or 50 amp power, water and sewer. Complimentary wi-fi and cable are also offered. An immaculately clean restroom and shower building is on site as is a 24-hour laundry facility. A swimming pool and a clubhouse complete with a full kitchen is available to guests.
