Arrowhead Marina And RV Park – Glenville/Schenectady

Arrowhead is a great RV destination campground for relaxation. It has a lovely park-like setting on the Mohawk River. If you bring your own boat or kayaks, there is a nice boat ramp with docks right on the property. Several bike and walking trails meander along the river and through the park. Quiet location with many seasonal residents.

Pull-through sites include either 30 or 50 amp power and most have full hookups with sewer. 50-foot parking pads for bigger rigs are available on the larger sites. The park is accessible from the highway with good roads that are easy to maneuver. Full shower and laundry facilities are on site with free cable and wireless internet. Newer dog park and play area for exercising your pets.

Barber Homestead Park – Westport

Barber Homestead Park is a unique family-owned and operated park. It offers an unparalleled out-of-the-way camping experience. The land and homestead have been in the Barber family since the late 1700s. An old barn offers a glimpse into the past at this gorgeous campground near the Adirondacks. While the property is on the secluded side, it is close to many attractions and points of interest.

Full hookups including sewer and both 30/50 amp power are available at most spots. Big rigs park with ease in large pull-through sites. The spots are large and roomy with packed gravel bases and concrete pads. The roads are wide and allow for easy maneuvering. Family, kid and pet areas are located throughout the RV park. The friendly and helpful staff are one of the highlights of any visit.

Branches Of Niagra Campground And Resort – Grand Island

A scenic lake sprawls over 8 of the 70 acres of this gorgeous campground and resort. Boating, fishing and an exciting zip line are a few of the fun things that keep campers coming back every year. The RV park is only minutes from the Canadian border and American Falls State Park. There is plenty of natural beauty to admire and explore.

Easy access and graveled sites allow big rig parking in the available pull-throughs. Clean and spacious tiled shower and laundry facilities are well-maintained. A fully-stocked camp store has those provisions you might have forgotten. Pet and kid friendly with lots of space to run and play.

Cumberland Bay State Park – Plattsburgh

This is a smaller campground off on Cumberland Bay on Lake Champlain’s western shores. It is a popular destination for both local and visiting RVers and campers. The well-maintained park and facilities regularly draw runners and picnickers for day-use. A long sandy beach, large ballfields and a playground offer on-site entertainment.

A newer amenity at Cumberland is the remodeled shower and laundry buildings. These clean and spacious facilities are larger and updated. The park has a 2-pet limit per space, be sure to check the requirements. Bigger rigs can park with ease in some of the oversized sites. Water and electric hookups are available with a dump station also on site.

Four Mile Creek State Park – Youngstown

With several waterfront sites near the shores of Lake Ontario, this popular New York RV camping spot fills up fast. Four Mile Creek is about 15 minutes north of Niagra Falls. Along with the local sightseeing activities, there is plenty to do here. On-site fun includes fishing, boating, and hiking. Plentiful wildlife on the property allows for great photo opportunities.

A fully-stocked camp store is at the top of the list of amenities for Four Mile Creek. Several of the comfort stations on the property include updated laundry facilities. There are no pull-through sites but most spaces are large enough for big rigs to easily park. Both 30 and 50 amp power sites are available at various points in the campground. An updated dump station is located at front of the park.  Water spigots are available in various locations.

Kring Point State Park – Redwood

If you don’t like views of the water from your campsite, this New York RV camping spot is not for you. Many of the camping spots have views of both the Lawrence River and Goose Bay. It is hard to not enjoy the sparkling water surrounding this campground on a peninsula. Boating, fishing and swimming are popular in the summer with cross-country skiing a top winter activity.

It is important to make reservations early for the busy season at Kring Point. Check availability for larger rigs. Limited sites with only electric hookups are available with some pull-throughs. Water spigots are plentiful and a sewer dump station is also on site. Several excellent laundry and shower facilities are in central locations throughout the park.

Lake Placid/Whiteface Mountain KOA – Wilmington

The Adirondack Mountains are famous for their world-class fishing, hiking and exploring. This campground is a ways off the main highway but well situated for seeing the sites of the Lake Placid area. During the summer months, there are plenty of fun family activities planned. Kids and pets will all feel welcome with play areas designated for both. A pool and rec room also provide extra entertainment.

Spacious big-rig sites with full hookups and pull-through entry/exit points are plentiful. Roads are dirt and gravel but easy to maneuver. Both 30 and 50 amp power is available at most RV spots. Robert Moses State Park – Massena/Long Island

A big draw at this lovely state park is their phenomenal visitor’s center. It includes an informative wildlife display and a giant aquarium with native creatures.The green and natural setting invites kids to play and families to wander the many trails. Some campsites offer an unrestricted view of the water. Observation decks allow visitors to watch big ships going through the locks.

Most any type of rig or RV can park with ease at Robert Moses State Park. 20/30/50 amp power is available plus pull-through sites for the big rigs. You won’t have a hard time finding an appropriate spot to park. Spacious shower facilities and the well-stocked camp store keep you clean and provisioned.

The Villages RV Park At Turning Stone – Verona

Visit one of the top-rated RV parks and campgrounds in the general Syracuse area. The Villages is a must-stop RV destination in New York. It is next to and operated by a casino but there are many family-friendly activities. (A free shuttle will also take the adults to the casino for grown-up fun.) Property is full of grassy green areas for family play as well as shaded trails for walking and hiking. Separate ponds are available for paddle boating and fishing. Pets are welcome and accommodated.

With easy access off of I90, The Villages have blacktopped roads and fully paved sites. Full hookups including cable and wi-fi are available along with several pull-through spots. Extra-large shower and laundry facilities add to the appeal of this campground. Other nice amenities include a camp store, pool and rec room.
